"One thing I've discovered with stone is that literally every type of stone, from alabaster to rose marble, has its own 'grain' and feel. I've made use of these differences in my work."

stone sculpting technique

Christopher does most of his stone work using pneumatic cutting tools. Because of the cost and difficulty in working with such large, heavy pieces of alablaster and marble, Christopher reports that he no longer needs to work out at the gym to stay in shape.
